From the salt mine to the salt bath

Applications and baths with salt and brine (the regional elixir) are on the list of 'must-dos' in the Bavarian "Salt Region", as is a visit to the former Salina, in which iodised salt was mined until 1929. It is today

considered one of the most beautiful European industrial monuments and can be visited on a tour. A trip to the crystal-clear turquoise water of Königssee is also well worth the 20 km journey. The serene setting offers refreshment in summer with an impressive mountain panorama.
