The Capuchin Monastery was completed in 1647. It is the only building that survived the city fire of 1689 and therefore the oldest preserved building in Offenburg. Also the baroque town hall, which dates back to

1741, and the neighbouring "Königshof" (Royal Court) are worth a visit. In the narrow alleys of the old town, over 500 stores and shops invite you to a shopping spree. Visitors can taste regional wines in the many seasonal wine taverns.
