Summer has arrived: Time to take a break from everyday life, enjoy the sun and soothe life with delicious cocktails. Get that summer feeling to your home: Four of our most creative barkeepers have created summer cocktails that you can easily prepare at home for you and your family or friends.

Vanilla Passion Caipi – Caipirinha a different way

A new interpretation of one of the classics: If you like the sour Caipirinha, you’ll love the sweeter version. Passion fruit and vanilla flavor perform summer magic in your glass.

What you need:

  • 4 Eighths Lime
  • 1 Passion fruit
  • 6 cl Cachaça
  • 1,5 cl Passion fruit syrup 
  • 1,5 cl Vanilla syrup

Mash limes and half of a passion fruit in the shaker. Add all other ingredients and strongly shake it with ice. Pour it into a tumbler and decorate it with the second half of the passion fruit.

Merano Schwarz is barkeeper at Berlin’s FRANKE Brasserie Berlin since five years and fascinates his guests with exciting veritable explosions of flavor. Extraordinary drinks, such as the Vanilla Passion Caipi or Apple Mojito, a sour variation with Aperol and rosemary flavor, were created by him. Source of his inspiration are conversations with other barkeepers from Berlin’s bar scene and the passion for creating something new. He experiments, tries new combinations and ventures out of the classic and known. He is an adventurer looking for new flavors and the unexperienced that excites the taste buds. That is what the high standard of the cocktails, the good image and the popularity of FRANKE Brasserie are about.

„Huhni“ – New interpretation of a classic

Fresh and fruity – the taste of summer. The funky named Cocktail „Huhni“ by Farid Rahimi sets a sweet emphasis and guarantees a summer taste adventure. The recipe might sound simple, yet, this small twist of the classic Vodka Sour makes this cocktail the ideal drink for hot days.

What you need:

  • 4 cl Vodka
  • 3 cl fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cl sugar syrup
  • 1 piece fresh watermelon

Mash water melon in a shaker, add Vodka, lemon juice, sugar syrup and ice cubes and shake it. Pass the mixture through a sieve twice and pour it into a tumbler. Serve with ice.

Lady Marmelade: crisp, fruity and with that special kick

Enjoy Wyndham Stuttgart Airport Messe hotels’s Cocktail of the month at home, too. The name promises sinful pleasure: With a fruity combination of Peach Tree, rhubarb and lime juice, mixed with Vodka and strawberry jam, it is a crisp mix with that certain something.

What you need:

  • 4 cl Vodka
  • 2 cl Peach Tree
  • 8 cl rhubarb juice
  • 2 cl lime juice
  • 1 tea spoon strawberry jam

Mix all ingredients in a shaker, add ice cubes and serve in a glass.

Rum Runner – freshness of limes

Rum Runner washes around the taste buds and the gums like a fresh breeze. This summer variation of the classic Rum Runner comes with fresh limes, juices and fruity liquors.

What you need:

  • 4 eighths lime
  • 3 cl Bacardi Blanco
  • 3 cl Appleton Estate
  • 2 cl Crème de Cassis
  • 2 cl Bols Crème de Bananes
  • 6 cl fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 6 cl pineapple juice
  • 1 cl Grenadine

Put all ingredients into the shaker, add ice cubes ad shake it. Pour the drink into a glass and decorate with pineapple and mint.

Since two years Navina Singh is swinging the shakers at RiverBar of Swissôtel Düsseldorf / Neuss, performing magic with exciting cocktail creations for hotel guests and local guests. Having worked as barkeeper on a cruise ship in the past, she was always on tour, inspired by the oceans of the world.
