Marek Kvasnicak named new General Manager at the Wyndham Garden Dresden

Dresden, March 2017. The Wyndham Garden Dresden has a new General Manager; starting immediately, Marek Kvasnicak is responsible for the 262-room four-star hotel in the Leubnitz district. The 36-year-old hotel manager and trained cook follows in the footsteps of Jan Burghardt, who has been named Area Director of Operations East for the GCH Hotel Group. Kvasnicak is moving from the Best Western Macrander Hotel Frankfurt/Kaiserlei in Offenbach, where he held the same position. Kvasnicak, a Dresden native, is now in charge of a team of 60 employees at his new workplace, and would like to the further establish the recently renovated hotel featuring 13 modern event rooms ‘for its conference and business guests in particular’.   

Marek Kvasnicak completed his training as a cook at the Holiday Inn Dresden, later earning the title of certified hotel manager at the Fachschule für Wirtschaft der HOGA Schloss Albrechtsberg (HOGA School of Business, Albrechtsberg Palace). After working in London and Beijing, he held various positions at the Holiday Inn Dresden, where he became F&B Manager in 2006. In 2009, Kvasnicak switched to the Best Western Macrander Hotel Frankfurt/Kaiserlei, where he started out as Resident Manager before being promoted to General Manager in 2010.
