FAMous sights in the hanseatic city of bremen
Bremen's most famous sight is probably the statue of the Town Musicians of Bremen. Well known from Grimm's fairy tales, donkey, dog, cat and rooster were eternalised as a bronze statue on Bremen's market square. Selfie or you weren't there! Only a few steps futher, you will find two sights that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage: Bremen's town hall and the statue of Roland, the protector of the city. Do not forget to pay Bremen Cathedral a visit - it is right around the corner.
Bremen's neighbourhood - there is something for everyone
In total, there are 24 districts waiting to be explored. There is something for every taste: From the historic city centre to beautiful and relaxed parts like the "Schlachte" river promenade that leads to modern districts like "Überseestadt" (City Overseas) and "Das Viertel" (The Quarter). Especially during the evenings, the "Schnoorviertel" (String Quarter) is well worth a visit to just stroll through the narrow alleys or dine in one of the cosy restaurants. There are also lots of iconic bars and clubs to party the night away.
Pure Nature in Bremen and its surroundings
Various parks and green areas can be found in the city of Bremen. Locals and tourists alike go there to relax or to work out. We recommend an escape to Werder Lake in Stadtwerder during summer, to take a swim or have a barbecue with friends. If you do not mind driving a bit further, get your bike and cycle along the Weser Cycle Route leading alongside the river Weser up to the North Sea coast.
