Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is landscape park that covers an area of 2.4 km². It is home to the famous Löwenburg (Lion's Castle), Wilhelmshöhe Palace with an impressive collection of antiques and a picture gallery,
and the Hercules monument, the city's landmark. The monument's octagon platform offers a breathtaking view over the city. The orangery houses the Cabinet of Astronomy and Physics and a restaurant.
