The town's landmark is the famous Wissem Castle with its imposing courtyard complex. The time-honoured buliding has an interesting history: Originally constructed as a moated castle, it is nowadays home to a museum of book illustration and young-adult books.

The best spot for sociable evenings in a homely atmosphere is the StadtBierhaus, where typical Rhenish specialities are served. The leisure and adventure pool Aggua Troisdorf is equally popular with people from Cologne, Troisdorf and Bonn.
