There are excellent road links to Dortmund's cultural and leisure-time highlights. The new centre for art and creativity, otherwise known as the Dortmunder U, is a 15-minute drive away, as are the brewery museum and the Westfalenhalle.
Hohensyburg Castle and the surrounding nature reserve can be reached within 20 minutes. The castle grounds are also home to the gambling establishment of the same name, which boasts to being Germany's largest casino.
